Hey guys! My name is Chris Feener. I’m a 22 year old guitarist from Newfoundland, Canada. I’m currently a member of a couple different bands (one being Threat Signal) and another local cover band. Since the ripe ol’ age of 8, I’ve constantly been completely and utterly indulged in the fine art of guitar-playing. Having been raised on classic rock (Kiss, Aerosmith, Journey, etc.) and blues (Jimi Hendrix, SRV, etc.), and then in later years into fusion, metal, progressive rock/metal (Jeff Kollman, Guthrie Govan, Dream Theater, Scar Symmetry, etc.), my ear has been well developed over time and I wouldn’t be the guitarist I am today without having gone through such phases.
Having prior touring experience from traveling to each and every corner of North America and Europe, I’ve been around the block and understand many of the in’s and out’s of being a working musician. In April of 2008, I was picked among the top 12 world competitors to compete in London, England as part of “Guitar Idol 2008”. I currently reside in Grand Falls-Windsor, am frantically working to complete Threat Signal’s 2011 release as well as a solo record, and hope to be hitting the road again (touring) this coming summer. I teach privately, as well as through Yamaha’s “School Of Music”. I’ve taught group guitar lessons and one-on-one sessions for about 5 years.
Thanks for checking my profile out! I hope you enjoy the lessons!
